Rental affordability remains a major issue in the United States. More than 19 million renters in the United States are considered rent burdened, spending more than 30 percent of their income on housing costs. In response, support for rent control policies has grown in popularity. But would such a policy really make rent more affordable in America? If so, what would it look like?
